Imperial Bathrooms presented the world’s first ever range of solid timber toilet seats as part of its pioneering new product development programme in 2008 with a soft-close mechanism hinges. A range of wood finishes are available, all handcrafted in Imperial Bathrooms own wood factory based in the Midlands. The hinges are available in 3 finishes for a bespoke look that will match any interior: Gold, Nickle or Chrome.
Imperial toilets are designed, manufactured and handcrafted in-house to the highest quality standards. Every piece needs to go through as many as15 quality inspection checks. Only the first class performance is accepted.
This unique range features a specially designed hinge that enables the soft and slow closure of both the seat and cover, therefore eliminating the possibility of the seat slamming shut which can produce unwanted noise and potential damage to the seat and fingers!
Handcrafted in Imperial’s own furniture factory based in the West Midlands, using the finest quality solid woods, the soft-close timber seats match beautifully with Imperial’s extensive range of luxurious sanitaryware and solid wooden furniture. The magnificence of the wood’s natural pattern and grain is safely sealed beneath a layer of specialist protective lacquer to resist moisture ingress in the bathroom setting. Climate protection concern for the everyday individual can begin with showering and bathing, as the function that consumes the most water in our everyday lives. As water experts, Hansgrohe assumes a pioneering role in conserving this precious natural resource. Most of Hansgrohe mixers and showers are fitted with Hansgrohe’s EcoSmart technology. It only requires up to 60% less water than other normal products with no obvious difference thanks to its efficient design. Less hot water consumption means lower energy requirements. Therefore, fewer CO2 emissions and lower costs.
How does this work?
Showers
The water pressure in your shower is measured by the “Precision O-Ring”, it reacts flexibly to the water pressure and adjusts water quantity. If the pressure is too high, the ring makes the opening smaller. Vice versa, if it is too low, it expands the opening.
These work by adding air and operating with a special flow limiter. The EcoSmart aerator is integrated into the spout of the basin mixer and enhances the water with air. The outcome is a full, bubbling jet of water. A “precision elastomer” reacts automatically to various water pressure and modifies its shape. It maximises the flow, thus constantly saving precious water.
