Planning a new bathroom

It maybe that your present bathroom was one that you inherited when you bought the house, it may have been put in when “Pampas” or those green colours that were all the vogue a few short years ago. The finishes on a modern bathroom suite are far superior to those of yesteryear and perhaps your is stained and has seen better days, so why not start to plan an bright new, luxurious bathroom now.

To begin you must look at your current bathroom and consider if it is big enough for your needs. It is a sad fact that in most homes the bathroom is a small room, which is a hang up from pre Word War2 times. In those times a bath once a week was normal, not so today of course. If your current room will not allow you to fit a shower cubicle in it, then look at space in to see if it could be fitted elsewhere. We would also suggest that when considering your new bathroom suite, you fit a shower bath, which can take the morning pressure away from the shower cubicle.

To summarise before embarking on new bathroom ceramic ware there are some things you should think about. You need to consider the size of the room and whether you want to enlarge it. Would it be possible to join a separate bathroom and toilet together? It could mean creating a cloakroom and toilet in a downstairs area such as the under stairs area. A luxurious shower cubicle and a smaller bath is a popular choice nowadays. Can you fit in one of the excellent “his and hers” vanity units? Do not forget the all important lighting, towel warmer, and tile finishes, planning your new bathroom needs careful thought, but it can be very rewarding.
