Grand Designs Watch – The Old Cinema

Our favourite home design show is now back on the TV, so we will be eagerly watching episodes of Grand designs every week for products available on UK Bathrooms which are featured on the show. Hopefully giving you some home improvement inspiration.

This week’s grand project is a decaying classic 1920s cinema which is in Thorne in South Yorkshire. Gwyn and Kate are looking for more space for their family and originally wanted to knock down the whole old building. However the local council refused them permission, so instead they are setting out on a restoration project to make this building into a family home.

The house was filled with tons of concrete, as they created a new modern interior to this classic building. The stark contrast modern concrete design and the traditional façade of the building made an interesting and beautiful home for the family.

This week the light and airy bathroom mixes modern and classic styles, the classic double ended curved bath from Royce Morgan and the Britton Curve S30toilet stand out against the modern brickwork tiled wall and dark tiled floor. Our Grand Designs bathroom suite featured this week is ideal for a modern or traditional bathroom.
