Becoming eco-friendly in your bathroom
With reports of global warming more of us are turning to becoming eco-friendly and perhaps the best place to start is the bathroom. Saving water is a good place to start particularly hot water. You may want to think about fitting new taps using a mixer with ceramic technology, guaranteed to stop that dripping tap, as a tap that has a slow drip will lose hundreds of litres of water in a week or so, as much as bath full, the Jasper Morrison basin mixer comes to mind.
Take a daily shower perhaps having the luxury of a bath just once week perhaps at the weekend. Most baths will hold around 195 litres of water against the average for a shower of below 30 litres! An obvious saver is using energy efficient light bulbs in your bathroom wherever possible, not only do they last longer (up to 12 times) but the running cost is greatly reduced. Just a few tips to be going on with there are lots more to come, happy saving!
